LOVED IT! It made me really appreciate de Kooning's work and life, as well as other American artists of this time. It's a good size read, and I was worried it might get a bit dry, but I found it engaging the whole way through, as well as very well written. One of the most inspiring books I've read in a long time!
This week I re-read Thirteenth Child which came out a few years ago. Then I read the sequel. This story is not the action-packed magic story that I am used to reading. In fact there aren't any "bad guys" at all. It's the type of story where you sit and enjoy the descriptions and the creativity and just soak in the character. The only thing missing is a romance. I hope that's coming in book 3.
