I liked this book, as an espistillary text, it has a very personal feel. However, I found myself growing a little irritated at the narrator's apparent helplessness - I think this is my American Ego contributing to the idea that the woman should have been able to overcome, no matter what... I won't read this book again, but it was valuable enough to warrant reading once.
