What a lovely gem of a book, just 85 pages long. Which like the title says, is a pretty long letter. The letter is written from one Senegalese woman to another after the death of her husband. It reminds me of the importance of sharing experiences -- this woman's very personal journey serves as a nice launch pad for the telling of the story of Senegal during a time of great change.
