I enjoyed reading about all the crazy new technologies, and the subtlety with which they were described (as if assuming that the reader already lives in this world). The book got so much more interesting when it started talking about linguistics and ancient Sumerian religion, though it was sometimes confusing. I was annoyed with Hiro's boring monologue at the end that explained everything, but other than that it was a good read.
