Jim Mrr's conspiracy theories have to be taken "with a grain of salt". Although his book is full of source material, some of it may be questionable. However, if you want a read that will have you questioning what is going on in the world today, and the causes that have brought about the coming "World Order", this is a must read. The book is not only informative but provides a lot of material for some serious thought, and one may find some comedy in his beliefs. The best way to describe the is to give you what Marrs believes to some answers to our problems. This will only be a short list of what is in the book and does not go into detail as to the whys, whats, wherefores. Is floridation of our water (floride is a poison) a conspiracy to cause us to act as zombies? Is he current economic mess really the result of a plan stretching back to 1913? Is out intelligence level being lowered by the "dumbing down" of parents, teachers, and school systems? Are Pharmaceutical Companies price fixing by holding proprietary information and patents on discoveries made in publicly supported academic institutions? Should the government stop paying farmers to not plant crops and any surplus be purchased by the government to feed poorer nations? Should only those who pay into Social Security be allowed to benefit from the system? These and many other questions are taken to task by Marrs and whether you agree with him or not, the book is thought provoking and attention getting.
after hating, really disliking this book in high school english, i came back to it recently and found so much more than i remembered. the scene and setting is detailed and foreign in many ways, but the motives and fears are very familiar.
