Book #25 o 2009 - Officially halfway to 50... I think I might have to extend my goal! This book was OK and a fun and light read, but I didn't like it as much as the other two books this author wrote under this name. I think it was because it took place in Medieval Scotland and not modern day Scotland and although its fun to imagine what that time would have been like, I seem to have an easier time with the Medieval men marrying the women in modern time they modern women going back and marrying the Medieval men. Not sure. Maybe because I would want to be stuck in 14th century Scotland? I'm sure its a nice place to visit (you know, if such a thing were possible), but give me indoor plumbing and modern medicine! Lots of roaming characters from the other books, which was also fun (not too important to the plot though). I own this book
Absolutely enjoyed this story of stories in this mans life. Many of the tales were heart breaking, some of them hopeful, but all of them captivating. Three parts in the end - did not see them coming at all! The audiobook version is beautifully read by Kerry Shale.
AWESOME book. Very funny and interesting.
