I finished this book and am still processing it. I suppose the biggest thing in it is the idea that families are pretty much destined to repeat the same actions over generations. History repeats itself?!? Umm, yeah... Makes me wonder about genetic predisposition to certain behaviors and decisions. One Hundred Years of Solidude was always an interesting read and I enjoyed how the author would throw in things that would normally be absurd, like a flying carpet, yet no one batted an eye.
