I've read two other Le Carre books that I loved: The Constant Gardner and The spy Who Came In From The Cold. The Mission Song left me unsatified. It wasn't at all up to the standard that I've come to expect from this author. For the most part the charaters were not interesting, and plot not convincing.
A student named Sam recommended this one to me, and I am really glad I picked it up. Cashore's story was surprising and intriguing. I loved the characters and action in this story.
Confusing as all hell.
