Another good Sookie Stackhouse novel. Drama, mystery, romance, you name it, and it's here. Bill is around a little more in this one and Sookie is confused about what her feelings for him should be. I think we can all sympathize with that. First loves die hard. Sookie is overwhelmed by the kindness of friends when her house is set afire by a supposed arson. Sam is especially kind to her and I like him a lot as a character and I find myself wishing, for his sake, that Sookie would just give in already because Sam is just a really good guy. Alcide shows a different side of himself in this book and as much as I liked him in the 3rd book, I really don't care for him now. Calvin's forced courtship is kind of awkward, for both the reader and Sookie, and this makes me want to read on to see what happens in that area. The characters in these books are so amazing and the story is so great and well-written that I can't help racing through them
