this could have been good had he let his evidence stand for itself, but instead he has to sound like such a sarcastic arrogant jerk for most of the book. i can't imagine how he could ever find it constructive to just repeatedly call everyone who doesn't agree with him stupid. i mean, i too am guilty of having certain litmus tests where i would be quick to judge someone as dumb, but the entire book made me feel like i walked in in the middle of a fight that started without me. yes, we may all be affected by religion in many ways, but this sounded personal. i'm not doubting his intelligence, but he sounds angry and defensive enough that i would probably only recommend his book to atheists, closet or otherwise. anyone else, i think this would either be put down quickly, or be taken too personally to truly be constructive.

Really waivered between 4 and 5 stars, so I'll give it 4.5. It's an excellent account of one man's experience during and after Hurricane Katrina. The book ended before a couple of issues were resolved or answered. For a non-fiction book, this one kept me turning the pages.
