Una Spenser, Ahab's wife, tells her story of love and life as the wife of the infamous captain of the Pequod. I probably enjoyed this more because of my recent reading of "Moby Dick" and "Loss of the ship Essex". Naslund nicely weaves details of both stories into this love story, making it understandably realistic.
