The last, and in some ways the least, of the late playwright August Wilson's astonishing 10-play cycle, one play for each decade of the twentieth century, chronicling nothing less than the journey of African-Americans in the nation, most of the plays focusing on characters in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. This one, taking place in 1997, is about gentrification, and not much else. But nobody can write dialogue like Wilson could.
I'm kind of disappointed though. I thought it would be very very good since the author wrote this for a very long time. I thought this book would be next to Hunger Games in terms of greatness. The book contains some parts which are irrelevant to the story and there are some parts or words that are repeated. Anyway, I still like the book: the romance, the adventure, the thrill. I also like the role of Tris' mother. I like how Roth twisted the story and the characters. The book is good.
