I want to be Thursday Next. I would kill for her job. If you are a huge English lit dork like me, this book is HEAVEN. The other three in the series are okay, but this one is by far the best. Jasper Fforde is a pun genius and frequently sets up jokes in one book where the punchline doesn't even come until the following book. Every character's name is either a literary reference or a joke or both. Thursday herself is a really funny and likeable character. I've talked to people who read this series and liked it without having read the books it references (lots of Dickens and Austen), and I've only read some of them myself, but it's definitely funnier the more you've read of the books she's spoofing.
