Read it a while ago, but definitely remember loving it! Set in India about the inner workings of a Sikh family with multiple wives.
A complicated book that takes some time to digest (pardon the very bad pun). Once you give it some time and thought though, it's clear that Ozeki has raised more questions than answers in her novel. Some may dismiss as merely a veiled agenda, but I think the questions she raises are more complicated and that she does not give us easy answers. What she does give us is a story that brings to light many horrible yet unseen/ignored practices throughout the U.S. and in Japan.
