This book is heralded as a software management classic, and rightfully so! The two Tom's take the reader on a delightful tour of various factors and vignettes regarding application development, predominately centered around managing the people and teams, but also addressing external material factors such as the environment or the overall company culture. At times it seemed a bit dated, but overall the majority of the advice is timelessly relate-able. Must read for anyone in the software industry.

Wonderful story of magic and mystery. A little long in the middle, but worth it.
