A police procedural in space is my take. It was an interesting idea for a plot, but this would have been greatly improved by a chapter or two added at the beginning of the book that developed the setting, the history, and the backstory of the two lead detectives. As it is, I skimmed through this and I'm not invested or interested enough to continue with this series.
