I think I'm more between one and two stars for this one. I think this is a pretty famous and popular book...but I thought it was very scattered and I didn't ever really get what the point was.

7th&up. Shades of Twilight- exiled heroine, new cold town, mother unable to cope, shapeshifters and pixies that are rather vampire-like. Not very memorable, but not terrible. I could see the author being one to watch in the future, but for now I felt that there were good bones to the story, but not fleshed out well enough.
I like The Broker. I find myself of rooting the Gordon Gecko of Power Politics. A once fawned over and feared Political Broker finds himself bait for an aging CIA Director. Like a Tom and Jerry cartoon, we find the resiliency of this recently pardoned President convict has the wherewithal a too an escape an elite Chinese assassin. This was hailed by many critics as a return of Grisham's prominence to legal/political genre.
