As you start reading this epic fantasy novel, you'll be confused and wouldn't expect yourself to be familiar with all the names and characters this rich story offers. It started great; love, betrayal, swords and dragons. Then it started becoming more and more boring as I was approaching the end, thinking to myself, where is this going? I had no affection for the characters - except Arya of course. And I really thought that Eddard and his friend Robert weren't the brightest knives in the drawer, Eddard doesn't think about consequences and Robert, well... is simply not there when it comes to ruling - I even have no idea how they put him as king - . But as the story developed more and some of the characters were no longer in the story I starting liking the story more, realizing that this book is only a prologue to a bigger picture. The last three chapters won me over, and kept me from giving the book three stars. They're good and they keep you in suspence to find out what's going to happen later on.
