This was a nice detour from my normal books. I realy liked that it was told from the younger perspective and not the same as everything else from the time of when she was actually Queen. I don't think I could live back then though...married off so young, no baths for weeks at a time, flea patches..ugh those sound aweful! I think I would have to be a poor happy go lucky peasant! I really thought something would come between her and Robin tough, I guess that they stayed friends was good, but thought there would be a romance!

Not a bad book and was a good read with a good story. The plot and story seemed to jump a little fast and the characters advanced in life just a little to easily. Still I liked the book, enjoyed reading it and will be looking to read the rest of the series. If you like fantasy, and "hero's journey" books (of which this book had three!), then I'd say this is a read for you...
