PROS: The lead characters are instantly distinct and iconic. The world is broad and complex, and everything fits into a perfect set of rules. Despite the length, everything keeps moving at a solid pace and genuinely unexpected twists come one after another. Had no idea how it would all tie together for the big climax, but it did. CONS: I kinda dug it in a pulpy way, but everything does have a slightly exaggerated, larger-than-life feel. A few too many plot twists happen as the result of random coincidence. In the second half, it takes a shocking twist in tone when the lead is captured by dominatrix warrior women who torture and rape him for quite some time. It still kind of works, but came completely out of the blue like a loose brick dropping off a bridge.
