This book should be read outside on a warm day, it made me feel spring. This is a children's book that I never read as a kid (I now have to have my girls read it) but I found the characters relatable, their transformations uplifting and the message of the power of positive thinking and activity a good message. I really enjoyed the simple yet descriptive language that brought the secret garden and Misselthwaite Manor to life and the small portion of the book told through the eyes of the Robin in the secret garden.

This was a fictional account of Alzheimer's from the perspective of the person who gets the disease. It's written by a neurologist who has some experience with the topic. In trying to understand what my dad is going through, I'm trying to find out more about how he might be feeling and perceiving things. There are also some interesting takes on how each member of the family deals with it. It isn't great literature, but it seemed like a sincere and well thought out treatise on the subject. It was a very quick read, but not an easy one. It tended to confirm some suspicions I have. It was also terrifying. If you have any interest in the topic, well worth the read.
