A very powerful book, but not really my type. I had to read this for a college course. I think part of the reason I didn't like it, is that I thought it was a biography until the very end. I'm not sure what gave me that idea. It obviously says "A Novel" on the cover. I think this thought tainted my view of the book once I found out. If I were to reread it now, I'd probably rate it higher. Although fiction, the writing was very realistic. This could have happened.The writing style was amazing. It was very easy to imagine what the author wanted the reader to see.
