3.5/5 Amy Chua presents an extraordinary way of parentning. As a teen , I actually found comfort in the fact that there are still "old-fashioned" parents in the world. I think the conclusions Sophia made at the end, that you live your childhood as Chinese and as adult as Western should be told to all of those who disagree with Chua's parenting. Yet, I am pretty ashamed of myself, now that I come to think about it. I really think that I could have made it too, to the top. But I didn't, because my parents had never chosen to raise me that extreme way. You see, my mother is a Jewish mother and so is the rest of my family, and I have to admit that my family had reached some great goals, though not as amazing as Chua's. I loved the book, it is definately very inspiring! Upon all, this book is an energy source, it motivates me to keep reading, to keep studying, too keep pushing towards success! I know it sounds like I'm one huge geek, but it isn't like that. I am inspired and admiring Amy Chua. I really would love to meet the family!
