** spoiler alert ** This was my first Jodi Picoult book. I enjoy her style of writing but I really got frustrated with the character Katie. She had a hard time expressing how she felt and held everything to herself. I was surprised at the ending and disappointed a bit too. If Sarah was so committed to the Amish way of life; I don't see how she could have done that to her daughter's baby. Throughout the book it was stressed how the Amish people just don't lie and murder. Then in the end; it was the mother who almost let her daughter go to prison for what she did. Disappointing.
