I read this for a nonfiction readers' advisory group. It's short. While I was actually reading it, it sort of made sense. When I was done, I couldn't begin to explain anything to anyone. What I learned was: it is absolutely amazing that anyone sailing anywhere before they solved the problem of a portable device for ships to carry to calculate longitude ever arrived--ever!
