I loved the clipped and witty banter in this book. I recently started seeing so many of the books I read as movies in my mind. Probably because most of them ARE being turned into movies. However, this one was a classic movie from the '40s through and through. Kate, the main character, was aptly named as a young Kathrine Hepburn would be the perfect choice to play her in a movie. Strong, smart and sassy. Can't ask for more in a leading lady. Quote: Most people have more needs than wants. That's why they live the lives they do. But the world is run by those whose wants outstrip their needs. (p. 259)
