I can't believe this is the 15th book in the Staphanie Plum series - more than that if you count the In Between the Numbers books. Wow. They always read so fast and I never fail to laugh my way though the book. I was almost tempted to give this 3 stars rather than 4 - but I always round up and in my heart I felt it was a 3.5 - so a 4 it is. I thought the plot was a little off balance. The pace was just off for me. I didn't mind that there was a lack of steam in the sex department. I enjoy the tease relationship that Stephanie and Ranger have and that was enough for me. As for the main story line - I just couldn't seem to care that much. As in danger as Stephanie and Lula were - I just couldn't take the danger seriously. It didn't feel like they did either and probably that was my problem. I think this was a bit weak for a Plum book - but it was still a fun read.
You must read this book about the dust bowl. Those NBA winners get me every time.
