** spoiler alert ** Eh. Interesting time period, interesting take on the infinite permutations of the Grail myths. I like books with characters who interact across time. But...the main character holds a PhD in Medieval History, we are told at the beginning of the book. In a nice illumination of character, she insists on being addressed as "Doctor". Yet--her background, her presumed past knowledge never comes to bear on the action of the book itself. You would think she was a physicist or a florist for all her knowledge matters.
