Although I think the advice that Pollan gives at the end of the book is really helpful, most of the text is dry and hard to navigate. I much preferred the Omnivore's Dilemma which incorporate a variety of perspectives and stances. This text read like a summary of a variety of scientific reports and was lacking his more personal and interesting voice.
