Fredy Casta Casta থেকে Arborio
This is a great, simple little story. A lot of people in the reviews here seem to be upset that it lacks "umph" and "meat," and suggest books to read instead, so that you can get your share of meaty umph. And, if you're looking for meaty umph, I really think you should follow their advice. Some recommend Jonathan Strange, which you should read anyway. But Stardust never sets out to be anything like Jonathan Strange. It's a fairy tale for adults. It's light-hearted, you can read it in a couple of sittings, and it works best with Charles Vess's outstanding illustrations. For a Neil Gaiman novel with the nuance and depth of detail of Jonathan Strange, read American Gods. For the closest thing to Susanna Clarke redoing Stardust -- a story by Mrs. Clarke set in the town of Wall -- read "The Duke of Wellington Misplaces his Horse" (which is here:[http://www.jonathanstrange.com/copy.a...]). And, for a good, breezy read, pick up an illustrated, please copy of Stardust. Also, here is a good essay by Gaiman, explaining his goals and motivations for the novel.
the start of my favorite series of all times. seriously.
I thought this book was well done. Everything was written very sterile at first which was good and bad. Good because it was full immersion in the new world that lacked choices, bad because it was a dry read. However it did get better as the main character,Cassia, tried to do her own thing. I thought the whole predicted choices thing was very creepy and now I must read the next book to see if Cassia really does anything unexpected.
