3.5 stars You may have noticed by now that I am a sucker for a medieval mystery. This was a fun read, and the first book in the last few I've picked up that I actually finished. It was very interesting to learn about the occupation of the hangman, and see how he was necessary to the town, but also feared and shunned. I will probably check out the next book in this series.
