This book is simply delicious! The fluidity with which Bauermeister weaves the recipes and characters together is enchanting. I've been reading it ever so slowly over the past three months, only because I don't want it to end! My only regret is that the book isn't longer than it is. I would recommend anyone who ever wanted to learn to cook, or who loves to cook, read this book. The pages are filled with wisdom, wit, and culinary delight! I wish Lillian's classes were here in my town so that I could attend!
