A self proclaimed money whore, Andrew Young tells his side of the story more as a self-cleansing of the soul, than a vindictive tell-all. Being close to the upper echelon, this book rings true of the kind of people one finds in these positions, both in public and private, for-profit and non-profit enterprise. Nice people do not seek these positions because they would not survive. This book was an interesting read, which gives some insight into the greed and lust for power these people seek. The sad part is the general population simply turns heads to this behavior, which feeds the "narcissim, greed, power lust" of these poeple we happily vote into office, or elect to boards, etc. Andrew Youngs book only touches on the kinds of things these people are willing and able to do. Able to do because of the power they hold. The book clearly shows it's not government for the people, by the people. It's goverment for themselves, by themselves. To be re-elected. The common folk would be utterly appalled at the waste in people, money and time. Anyway, Andrew Young assembled a thought provoking look into a small slice of how your government works. The Edwards's are typical, it's just that they stepped a line into the public view.
