This is a gem. Where else can you find a recipe for cat (Gato Bilbaino- check it out)?! On a serious note- well, this book never takes itself too seriously, which is why it earned five stars in my book. Kurlansky's subtle humor weaves itself through centuries of history of one of the most intriguing places on earth.
