Anansi Boys is sort a mixture between Good Omens and American Gods. The humor and light-hearted tone are more along the lines of the work that he and Terry Pratchett did in Good Omens, while the story itself is more along the lines of American Gods. The story is a modern tale of the Afican trickster Anansi and his children. One of the major differences between American Gods and this tale is that this one tends to stay in the the animistic pantheon of gods.
