Gleidson Sousa Sousa থেকে Swystuny, Obwód doniecki, Ukraina
I found this to be a captivating and cohesive novel by Jennifer McMahon. The setting is vivid and the characters are layered. The narrator is a strong, perhaps naive young woman who is easy to relate to on many levels. The stories and secrets within the main plot unwrap delicately and delightfully like one of those mysterious Russian dolls. It keeps the reader turning the pages just to find out what happens next, or even better, what really happened two decades ago. All in all, it left me with the feeling that literally no stone should be left unturned in pursuit of the truth. More importantly, the story teaches us the value of always remaining true to ourselves, no matter what the obstacles are that lie in our way.
