According to one of my friends, I don't like this book because I don't like people making fun of the French. I don't think that's it, though - but there's only so much bad faith I can take, and Stephen Clarke used up his entire allowance after about 10 pages.

Lover Eternal is the second book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series of books. It tells the story of Rhage and Mary, a human. It also contains a backstory about Butch and Marissa (who's story will be expanded in another book). Another interesting group of characters, a good book to read. The villians of this series, called the Lessers, I find not as interesting as the main characters--they are vicious, violent, have no conscience or humanity whatsoever.

It's the story of a widowed woman who remarries for the sake of companionship. Set in the Adirondacks, she meets the family of the man she's recently married to and then, something happens. How's that for a summary? I kept waiting for something of interest to happen and had to read until I was 7/8 of the way through the book. Cripes.
