Celia Graves is back and ready (maybe!) to tackle the rift between dimensions that has released demons into her small California town. Still reeling from her close encounter with a vampire and her discovery that she is a Siren princess, she teams up with former lover, Bruno, and maybe soon-to-be lover, Creede, along with her Siren relatives to battle the demons. Although this is the third in the series, and having read the first two puts the reader immediately into the action and increases the empathy for the characters, this book stands alone as a great adventure/action story. All the elements of horror, violence, relationships, and humor are there from the first books. This book certainly wraps up the multiple storylines nicely, but still leaves an opening for continuing the series. This is a great series – exciting and fun. Each book in the series does stand alone -- there is enough background to set the stage and keep the reader interested no matter which book you start with -- BUT I would recommend reading them in order. It will definitely enhance your involvement with the storylines. Every character is well drawn and over the course of all three books, the reader gets to know each of them well.
