London Lane has a weird condition. Every night, at 4:33am, her brain resets itself, and she has no memory of her past. She cannot even remember little things, like what she wore the day before, or what she had for dinner. She can 'remember' the future though. She gets glimpses of her future, and she remembers them as if they are a memory, even though they haven't happened yet. So when she meets a gorgeous guy called Luke and she can't see him in her future where she wants him to be, she gets worried. Will something happen to him that London can't prevent, or can London change the future? I really enjoyed this book. I finished it quickly, and now that I've finished it, I can't stop thinking about it. I can't help but wonder what it would feel like if I ever had that condition, where you can't remember the past but know the future like a memory. It would be weird and extremely annoying, and I bet more than anything I would forget to write notes every night, or if I did, I'd be so tired I'd forget something important... I liked London. I really felt sorry for her, and honestly, how could you not? She couldn't remember the boy she'd been dating for four months, every day! She will never remember falling in love with Luke for the first time, or their first kiss, first date, nothing. So I felt like I knew her, and I could relate to her friendship issues and her problems in school, especially when she had PE ;) I loved Luke. Oh my word, he is possibly the sweetest book boy EVER! He will do anything he can to make London happy, and even when they were fighting, he did as much as he could to try and win her back. He gave her space when she needed it, and was there for her to help her search for her dad, and find out more about what her mother was keeping from her. He was so cute, and when London couldn't remember her first date with him, he took her AGAIN so she could write it down :) How can you not love him? The plot was good and the idea behind the book was amazing. One thing I will say is that there is a lot of repetition which of course is understandable seeing as it is told from London's point of view and she has to re-remember everything every day, but sometimes it seemed a little pointless. I don't know, there were times when I got really bad de ja vu because I knew what happened... But that didn't put me off, it just seemed odd to me. Forgotten was an amazing read. I could quite easily have read it all in one sitting, but I thought I'd space it out a bit and enjoy it fo longer. I can't believe that Cat Patrick is a debut author, if I didn't know that before I read it, I wouldn't have known! I definitely recommend it to everyone, whether you're a fan of paranormal or contemporary, it doesn't matter, because I think you'll enjoy it anyway! So on the 6th June (or now if you're in the UK and can get it from Waterstone's where it's been put on the shelves 3 weeks early) head down to your local bookstore or go on the computer or wherever you get your books from, and buy it! It's so amazing :) Thanks to Egmont for sending me this review copy free in exchange for an honest review. In no way has this affected my opinion of the book.

What a great, fun, informative book. I thoroughly enjoyed it, altho I docked a star simply because I felt the academics left me somewhat skeptical.
