Beautifully written novel, hard to put down. Awesome amount of research done about Italy (in the 1500s? Ooops, I've already forgotten.) Fascinating, good read for a rainy, lazy day.

this is as far as I got in the juggernaut known as the Left Behind series. It pains me to see book after book published. This thing is a cash cow, cashing in on a doctrine that's only existed maybe a century and a half of the entire history of the Christian faith. Pitiful.
