An interesting concept. That thirteen women could purchase a diamond necklace, share it equally between them without fighting or greed, and allow it to become the binding agent for the group that goes on to become a force bigger than the members. That this expensive item could be the thing that creates unity, a sense of community and allows the women to appreciate the good in their lives and want to spread that around to those less fortunate. Good read.

This was an interesting book. As another reviewer said, its mostly common sense. But we are all victim to this habit, unfortunately. I find myself thinking a little more before I eat. I'm also more aware of things that I might not have even noticed before reading this. Overall, a very helpful and quite and eye opening book.
