While I don't think Mike Mignola has ever written a bad story, post-Hellboy Volume 5 : Conqueror Worm, I'd been sort of unsure about the direction Hellboy was taking. The stories were still good, but I just wasn't as into them as I had been in the earlier works. The Wild Hunt, however, was FANTASTIC, and well worth the slow buildup of the last several years. I think I may even need to re-read it before heading on to #10.
