This was an excellent book with fantastic world building. Joshen wasn't as well-developed as I would have liked (not that it affected my liking of the first book and, having read the second can now say that it definitely added to the next book in the series) but the main character, Brusenna, is a character you'll definitely want to get to know and follow through her astounding adventures. I can't wait to see what happens in the sequel. I wish I wrote better reviews because this is one of those books that deserves a lot of attention. It really gets you thinking deeply about right and wrong. Very interesting.
