I wasn't sure what to expect with this book as it seems as though many did not like it as much as the others. While it isn't my favorite book in the series thus far, I did really enjoy it. I liked getting a more in depth look at the Brotherhood and more interaction with the Scribe Virgin. Although Marissa isn't my favorite heroine, I didn't hate her or get as annoyed with her as others. I thought she was very naive and innocent in the beginning. I enjoyed watching her find herself, passion, love, confidence, and something she enjoyed doing that gave her a sense of purpose. I like Butch, especially since he's from Boston and definitely has the mentality and attitude of a guy from Southie :-) I loved the scenes towards the end (don't want to give anything away). I was nervous to see where the book was going to go when I was about at the mid-point, but I liked the ending. I'm VERY interested to see what happens to his character in future books now. On to V's book now!

One of the best books I have ever read. It will make me proud to be an American and I felt so humbled by the true story of a hero I had never heard of before this book. Amazing!

Re-reading this book, as I didn't really pay much attention to it the first time. It's a bit dated now in terms of facts and some of the info, but it's still a very interesting read on global warming.
