** spoiler alert ** This is a great book that was definitely a fun read that I would recommend. It has a great plot and climax, yet the new characters add new suspense and a fresh feel from the last book. That being said, there were a couple things that through me off. Evie is stupid. Maybe that's a tad harsh and maybe I would have done the same in her situation, well, actually probably not. She puts herself in the worst places she possibly can like when she went with Reth for a walk just to avoid mopping. Kay, sorry, but that's a bit much. She went with her crazy ex even though she's determined he's evil and he left a scar on her arm just so she doesn't have to mop? That's just stupid! Lend warns her and warns her, yet she doesn't listen and gets herself into terrible spots where someone has to rescue her and then she has to lie to Lend and her friends. Not good. But, I still really enjoyed it. Evie may be a tad girly for my taste, but she's also funny and a lot of fun. She and Lend, plus her roommate, are great characters and added so much to the book.
