Done! So...this book is amazing! It was so intense, so imaginative that i couldn't believe i hadn't read it before. I would have to put this up next to "To kill a mockingbird", and several other books that are one of a kind. And this book (in my opinion) is more influential than almost any other book i have ever read. I did not realize(until finishing it), how many of the movies, books, graphic novels, cartoons i have seen throughout my life that were directly drawn from Orwell's work. It's just incredible to me that most of the science fiction i love has it's roots based in this book, but the book does it better than all of them! One other thing i would have to say is that usually in movies or modern novels of similar theme they try to get across a sense of hopelessness or isolation...well, they don't even come close to how Orwell does it, stark is not the word....but you really feel trapped and that there is no way out...which there isn't. Okay, enough rant, i suggest reading this when you can, it is relevant and beautiful in a variety of ways.
