This was a bloodthirsty, battle driven novel...of course it is about Geghis Kahn. This is a good start to his epic life. The characters were well researched and the scene is correctly set. The verbage is choppy at points and then long winded in others. I think people who have a general interst in war stories and sweeping historical novels will enjoy this. I won this in a goodreads sweepstakes and was thankful for my name being selected, however, it was not a book that I truely enjoyed.
