To be honest, I read this because I figured the dude had a shot at being president one day, so I should probably get acquainted with him. It was alright. The plus side is, I like him better as a person now - and I got some insight into his time as a POW, which I've always been curious about. The down side is, the book doesn't really talk about anything taboo, like the failure of his first marriage (he's married, and then he suddenly isn't and is then remarried) or infidelity or anything. Learning about his childhood was pretty interesting - his neuroses and the mentality of his military family. This is probably a good read for Republicans, McCainiacs, or Dems like me who want to know the enemy:)
