As always with Hoffman's books, I was swept away by the magic of her storytelling. She succeeded again in bringing sympathetic characters to life whom I will miss now that I'm finished with the book. The only disappointment here was that this book was marketed as what looked like a novel, but it really read more as short stories linked by the common history of Blackwell, Massachusetts.
